David Becker – Music of the Solar System
David Becker at the Planetarium: the Grammy- and Emmy-nominated jazz guitarist on a musical journey through the solar system
Music and the cosmos come together at the South Tyrol Planetarium in Gummer. As part of Steinegg Live, the planetarium is transformed into a stage for an extraordinary journey through our solar system.
Step aboard a spacecraft made of sound and set off on a musical voyage of discovery to the planets. David Becker’s music is created live in the moment, making the energy and mysterious atmosphere of space audible.
The journey ranges from gentle acoustic passages to driving guitar rhythms, electronic soundscapes and richly layered sonic textures. Every sound is played live by David Becker, recorded and immediately played back. The result is the impression of an entire virtual orchestra accompanying the audience through the vastness of space.
