Steinegg Live Festival 2025

From 10 to 31 October … featuring Big Daddy Wilson (USA), Bill Evans Allstars Vansband (USA), Stefan Hauk (AUS), the “Night of the Guitars”, South Tyrolean singer-songwriters Aster – Theiner – Perkmann, Fainschmitz, Brigitte Knapp & Daniel Faranna, a children’s theatre production, the “Rising Stars & Local Heroes” evening, the “Steinegg Live Fest” and two special concerts by the Steinegg marching band.

The “Steinegg Live Festival” is celebrating its 29th edition this year.

As always, the festival will be opened by Steinegg Live’s own children’s and youth theatre group, which will launch the cultural programme on the first festival weekend, from 10 to 12 October. The second weekend will feature a concert by the Vienna-based band “Fainschmitz”, with Steinegg involvement, as well as the “Rising Stars & Local Heroes” evening and the “Steinegg Live Fest” with a traditional Frühschoppen, children’s programme and dance music. The international guests will follow in the third week, starting on 21 October. And this year there is something completely new: in the fourth week, on 30 and 31 October, the Steinegg Live cultural association will present a very special encore.

As in the previous 28 years, the Steinegg Live cultural association once again presents a colourful mix of music and culture this year: an exciting blend of even more local artistry, high-quality entertainment and international star guests.
Our “RISING STARS & LOCAL HEROES” will meet blues legends such as BIG DADDY WILSON, world-class saxophonists such as Bill Evans, and the new Australian blues talent STEFAN HAUK.
For jazz-fusion lovers, one of the major highlights will likely be the concert by the BILL EVANS VANSBAND with special guest DAVE WECKL from the USA. Star saxophonist Bill Evans, a former sideman of Miles Davis, will also be joined by Jimmy Earl on bass and Steve Weingart on keyboards. It promises to be an evening defined by technical brilliance, extraordinary virtuosity and pure musical energy.

After a one-year break, the hugely popular “NIGHT OF THE GUITARS” is also returning to the festival. This year’s line-up features Lulo Reinhardt, from the famous Reinhardt family, Alexandra Whittingham from England, Elodie Bouny from France and Russian-born Alexandr Misko. All four are internationally recognised guitar virtuosos and specialists in their respective genres. An evening that promises outstanding technique and exceptional variety within the world of acoustic guitar.

The highly popular “Steinegg Live Fest” will of course also return. Alongside Wiener Schnitzel, roasted chestnuts and Krapfen, this year’s music will be provided by “Bozen4” and the “Albeinser Böhmische”. Younger visitors will once again be entertained by Bobby Live.

There is no traditional cabaret evening on this year’s programme. However, Brigitte Knapp & Daniel Faranna will present a musical-cabaret, lyrical, creative and truly unique storytelling evening entitled “Verwurzelt & versteinert”.

The festival’s musical programme is further expanded by a special live experience with the Vienna-based band Fainschmitz. Led by Steinegg-born bandleader Matthias “Gauli” Vieider, Fainschmitz are known for being eccentric, quirky, melodic, virtuosic, ironic and witty. At the festival they will present their new album “Fainschmitz Begins Again”.

Blues Night! For many, it is the festival highlight par excellence. This year’s line-up features BIG DADDY WILSON & The Goosebumps Bros (USA-I), exceptional Australian talent STEFAN HAUK with his band, and the Patrick Moschen Trio from Valsugana. As usual, the evening will be followed by the traditional blues jam session. And all of this at the very fair admission price of just €25 in online presale.

The festival’s penultimate highlight will focus entirely on South Tyrol’s singer-songwriter and pop scene. With the project “ASTER – THEINER – PERKMANN & BAND”, three of the best-known artists in this genre will share the Steinegg Live Festival stage, presenting their biggest radio hits and best-known songs.

For the first time, the festival finale will be performed by the Steinegg marching band, which will give two special concerts on 30 and 31 October under the motto “All In”.
